The African Network of Centers of Excellence in Electricity (RACEE) is a continental initiative led by ASEA and supported by the African Development Bank Group (AfDB) and the Agence Française de Développement.

    The overall objective of the project is to improve the performance of the electricity sector and to intensify regional exchanges through the strengthening of technical and managerial capacities in various fields and the governance of the sector. By 2019, the Network will be composed of at least 8 training centers bearing the RACEE label of excellence. The Network currently consists of:

    . Eskom Academy of Learning, affiliated with Eskom (South Africa).

    . The Center of Sciences and Techniques in Electricity, affiliated to the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water (Morocco)

    . The Electricity and Gas Training Institute, subsidiary of SONELGAZ Group (Algeria);

    . And the Kafue Gorge Regional Training Center, affiliated with the Zambia Electricity Supply Corporation (Zambia).
